A Taste of Thailand

We visit: Bangkok, Chiang Mai

This trip to Thailand - the land of tuk-tuks, elephants and Buddhas - firstly we explore some of the famous tourist sites in the bustling capital Bangkok, such as the Grand Palace and the river market canals. We then visit busy bustling Damnoen Saduak Floating Market floating market before flying to Chiang Mai, Thailand's jewel of the north, for our trekking. Cultural highlights of Chiang Mai will be the holy Wat Phrathat Doi Suthep Temple, 3,520 feet above sea level, and visited by Buddhist pilgrims all year round, and night shopping in a bazaar. Finally we return to Bangkok.

Arrive Bangkok

Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to your hotel.

Bangkok

Today you will visit the Royal Grand Palace, the nation’s landmark and most praised royal monument, the world’s largest solid Gold Buddha at Wat Trimitr, the Pantheon of Kings and the Emerald Buddha. Take a boat excursion along the “Klongs” of the Chao Phraya. This evening you will enjoy a delicious genuine Thai style dinner on a cruise. (B/D)

Bangkok

Today’s tour takes you to the rural yet world-famous Floating Market of Damnern Saduak, where for over a hundred years, villagers transport their agricultural products by canals to the center of trading at Damnoen Saduak. This incredible network is a labyrinth of almost two hundreds branched canals lined with ancient Thai wooden houses and colorfully decorated by small wooden boats that contain fresh fruits and vegetables. 

Return to Bangkok and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure. (B)

Bangkok-Chiang Mai

Transfer to the airport for flight to Chiang Mai.

Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel. Enjoy an evening out at a traditional Khantoke Dinner and show that highlights dances from the region’s hill tribes. (B/D)

Chiang Mai

Travel through the picturesque Mae Sa Valley to the Mae Sa Elephant Camp. One of the highlights of your visit is to watch the elephants taking their morning bath in the running streams before starting their days training and work.  Before returning to Bangkok, you will also have an opportunity to experience a river rafting. Chiang Mai

After breakfast, drive up the Doi Suthep Mountain for a great panoramic view of the whole Chiang Mai and the lush mountains and valleys that surround it and go on to visit the most sacred Temple in Northern Thailand, located at an altitude of nearly 5,000ft.  (B)

Depart Chiang Mai

You will be transferred to the airport for your onward flight. (B)
